“Sure, rewards are nice, but it’s secretly about the gold.”

After a session is hosted (or before for planning purposes), all loot whether mundane or wonderous is to be recorded in the session log once the downtime days are rolled, except in the case of non-canon that awards a flat amount of 8. XP is calculated as 75 x Hours Played x Level.

    • Higher tiered players playing on lower tiered session will take half XP for hours played.
    • Level is referring to the character’s current canon level. For non-canon games, players take half of the hours played.

Below are the max rewards, a full status Dungeon Master may award after hosting a session that corresponds to the specific tier. Sessions must be over 1 hour to gain downtime, rewards and DM benefits. These

    • Full status and trials are permitted to receiving DM benefits that consist of double downtime, full XP, and 50 GP per hour hosted bonus.
    • When running non-cannon, a DM is awarded 100% of the XP, as opposed to half.
    • TRP and Minor sessions, DO NOT award downtime or gold bonus. The latter may award only up to 1 Hour of XP.

Please use the Session Log Generator for assistance on how what is needed for the session log. Failure to add the necessary needed information will result in the log being flagged by @Admin. Here are two generators for gold based on individual or individual with items by CR encounter.

    • T1 times can be given out alongside T2 using formula above.
    • T1 items and T2 can be given out in addition to the other loot at tier 3 and 4 using formula above.
The max gold per play AND max items per player is how much GOLD + ITEMS a DM may award the party as a whole.

Tier Max Gold per Player² Max Items per Player² Downtime
T1 – Lv. 1-4 50 x Hour 1 Common per 3 Hours 2d4 + 8
T2 – Lv. 5-9 200 x Hour 1 Uncommon per 4 Hours 2d4 + 8
T3 – Lv. 10-14 1,200 x Hour 1 Rare per 5 Hours 2d4 + 8
T4 – Lv. 15-20 3,000 x Hour 1 Very Rare per 5 Hours 2d4 + 8
Non-Canon (Half XP) None. None. 8
Minor (up to 1 Hour of XP) None. None. None.
Text Roleplay (TRP) Up to 100gp worth for the party Requires 2 players, max 4. None.

Full Dungeon Masters have a monthly pot of 100 units that refresh every month, and do not roll over. The amount must be stated in the session log of how much pot has been used in excess of the gold and items awarded above. This pot is not per player, but an overall collective amount.

    • Limited to a max of 10 pot/game.³

Example: Spending 3 units of pot in a T2 game results in there being 97/100 left, with a collective amount of 3,600 GP added to the collective pot of the session.

Tier Pot Multiplier
1 50 GP
2 200 GP
3 1,200 GP
4 3,000 GP

Footnotes

      1. For mixed tiers, the tier that appears the most (mode) is the modifier. If the tier amounts are even, the lower tier modifier is taken.
      2. Max rewards should not be confused with guaranteed. Some sessions will or will not award gold or items. This chart is merely the max limit a Full Status Dungeon Master may award.
      3. Items may not constantly be awarded above tier per session. I.e. Rare to T2, Very Rare to T3. Awarding above permitted reward limits will result in item being removed and DM forfeiting rewards gained.

Going over the allocated limit will result in excess gold being deducted from the pot automatically. When pot reaches 0, any amount excess over will be automatically removed with rewards forfeited.
